Milledge 'Butch' Mosby is perhaps best known
for the way he combines spiritual principles, with business and success
principles.
This approach helps individuals determine for
themselves how to apply spiritual principles from the Bible to their everyday
lives.
His teachings create an environment where people
come to know that there is a power within them that is far greater than
anything that exists outside of them.

Unbeknownst to Milledge Mosby, his journey toward the ministry began in
1973 while attending the Detroit Unity Temple. He served as a volunteer
at the church under both Rev. Glenn Mosley, and then Rev. David Williamson.
In pursuit of business opportunities, Milledge, along with his wife, Pamela,
and their young family, moved to Maryland in 1978. There, they attended
Unity of Washington, D.C. The minister, George Stone, asked Milledge to
work for the church on a part-time basis as Business Manager. When Rev.
Stone moved on to another assignment, he was replaced by Rev. Amalie Frank.
Under Rev. Frank's tutelage and coaching, Milledge began teaching classes,
in addition to serving as the church Business Manager.
Milledge began formal study toward becoming a Licensed Teacher in 1988
by attending classes at Unity Village in Missouri. In 1989 Rev. Frank
and the board of trustees asked Milledge to accept the position of Assistant-to-the-Minister.
He held that position until a growing demand for a Unity Center in Bowie,
MD. encouraged him to leave where he started the Unity Center of Light.
In 1997, after completing a four year program in the Unity Field Licensing
Program, Milledge became an ordained minister of the Unity Church.
In addition to his work in the ministry, Rev. Mosby
has been a Professor of Marketing and Sales at Prince George's Community
College since 1980. In his own life, he demonstrates what he teaches with
his disciplines in a variety of activities that include: bodybuilding,
jogging/cycling, photography, doing research and continuous learning.
These activities help him to continue to grow spiritually, mentally and
physically.
