For two consecutive Sundays, storm issues have made it prudent to cancel services (January 31 and February 7). We ask that you remember that even though we haven't been able to have church service the operation of your spiritual home still goes on. Over half of our income come from donations given at service on Sunday. Missing two Sundays creates an unanticipated financial challenge. Several folks have already realized this and sent their regular Sunday offering or Commitment in the mail. We ask the everyone send the tithes and offerings you would have given for the two "lost" Sundays. Please send your contributions to Unity Center of Light 3501 Moylan Drive, Bowie, MD 20715. Practicing Spiritual Economics We invite you to join us in 2010 in Practicing Spiritual Economics. We have had requests to post the 2010 Commitment Form and information on the website... so... here it is. Jesus said in John 18:36, My kingdom is not of this world. Let us not be influenced by the economics of this world... instead let us seek first the kingdom and experience the grace of spiritual economics! We at Unity Center of Light believe that each of us has the opportunity to experience flows from universal prosperity as a result of our sharing our gifts with our spiritual home. Gifts include taking active roles in our spiritual community by volunteering to help, and also by sharing financially as a solid commitment, tithing. We find that it helps in the press of other life events to make a formal commitment, and we encourage it. The below form may be used for that purpose. The form provides for volunteer activities at UCL, as well as specific financial giving goals, to the general fund and/or the building fund. UCL now has the capacity to accept credit cards for giving, and also is able to set up automatic debits from deposit accounts, for your convenience. For details and our 2010 Commitment Form,
